Ria Dabi was born on 12 July 1998 in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. When her elder sister, Tina Dabi (IAS), was in class 7, the family moved to Delhi, where both sisters pursued their studies. Her father, Jaswant Dabi, served as a General Manager in BSNL, Delhi, while her mother, Himani Dabi, is a former Indian Engineering Services officer. Ria belongs to the Scheduled Caste (SC) category. Ria completed her graduation with a B.A. Honours in Political Science from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Delhi University.
She is married to Manish Kumar, an IPS officer of the 2021 batch.
