Radha Raturi was born on 6 March 1964 in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. She comes from a family with a legacy in civil services—her father, Shri B.K. Srivastava, was an IRS officer. Her husband, Shri Anil Raturi, is a retired IPS officer and was the Director General of Police (DGP) of Uttarakhand. The couple has a daughter named Aparna.

Education in Depth

Radha Raturi completed her B.A. (Hons.) in History from the prestigious Sophia College, Mumbai. Later, she pursued M.A. in Personnel Management, which laid a strong foundation for her administrative capabilities.

  • She first cleared the Civil Services Exam at the age of 22 and was selected for the Indian Information Service (IIS) in 1986.
