Early Life And Education Qualification of IAS Patil Anand Ashok
Patil Anand Ashok was born on 26 April 1995 in Gargoti tehsil of Kolhapur district, Maharashtra. As of 2025, he is 30 years old. His father, Ashok Patil, is a retired engineer, and his sisters, Neha and Shital Patil, are also engineers. Anand especially credits his younger sister Neha, who supported him both morally and financially throughout his UPSC preparation.
Anand faced severe visual impairment from the age of three due to cataracts, and despite surgery, he retained only limited vision. He adapted by sitting in the front row, relying on friends, and eventually using assistive mobile apps for reading. His determination and endurance made his educational journey an extraordinary success.
Education
Anand completed his primary education from New Marathi High School in Gargoti and secondary education from English Public School in Amboli. He then pursued a Diploma in Civil Engineering at ICRE, Mauni University and later completed B.Tech from Rajarambapu Institute of Technology (RIT), Islampur. His background in engineering laid a strong foundation for his problem-solving abilities in administration.
