Controversy and Public Accountability
In December 2023, during the assembly elections in Telangana, Anjani Kumar was suspended by the Election Commission of India (ECI) for visiting a political leader’s residence during vote counting. He later issued an unconditional apology, which was accepted by the ECI, and the suspension was revoked with a warning. He was also barred from future election-related duties.
