Early Life and Education Qualification of Ritika Aima IAS
Born and raised in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, Ritika Aima comes from a family deeply rooted in public service and academia. Her father, Dr. Ramesh Aima, is a retired Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer of the Nagaland cadre, while her younger sister Riya Aima is a practicing medical doctor. Ritika completed her schooling at the prestigious Brightlands School in Dehradun and pursued MBBS from Dr. Sushila Tiwari Medical College, Haldwani.

Despite a promising career in medicine, Ritika felt a stronger calling toward public administration. Her academic rigor, coupled with her desire to work at the grassroots level, led her to prepare for the Civil Services Examination.
UPSC Journey and Achievements
Ritika cracked the UPSC in her third attempt, showing tremendous perseverance and consistent hard work. In 2022, she secured Rank 186 and was selected for the Indian Police Service (IPS). Not settling for less than her dream post, she reappeared in 2023 and achieved AIR 33, earning her place in the Indian Administrative Service.
Her optional subject was Anthropology, and she secured 1016 marks in total – 804 in Mains and 212 in the Personality Test.
Current Role and Posting
