Early Life and Education Qualification – Girisha P.S. IAS
Born on 12th October 1984 in Nagamangala Taluk, Mandya district of Karnataka, Girisha’s early life was shaped by a tragic accident. After completing his Class 9 examinations, while trying to fix an electric plug, he was electrocuted, resulting in the loss of sensation and function in both hands. Over time, he adapted and began writing with his left hand — a symbol of his inner strength and willpower.
He went on to complete a B.Sc in Agriculture from the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore. In 2010, he began working for the Indian Railways, which supported him financially while he pursued his UPSC dreams.
