Early Life And Education Qualification Of Pratibha Verma IAS
Pratibha Verma was born on 5 May 1994 in Sultanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. As of 2025, she is 31 years old. Her father, Mr. Suvansh Verma, is a retired principal, and her mother, Ms. Usha Verma, is a primary school teacher. She is married to IAS officer Jeydev C S, a 2020 batch officer who was initially in the Uttar Pradesh cadre and later transferred to Rajasthan.
Pratibha was academically brilliant from the beginning. In 2008, she ranked third in the Uttar Pradesh High School Board Examination and topped her district in the Intermediate exam from KNIC School. She later cracked the IIT-JEE exam and got admission to IIT Delhi for B.Tech. in Engineering Physics.

Pratibha’s UPSC journey is full of dedication and persistence. In her first attempt (2017), she could not clear prelims. In the second attempt (2018), she cleared the exam with AIR 489 and joined the Indian Revenue Service (IRS). While posted as an Income Tax Commissioner in Nagpur, she took leave from service to prepare again for IAS and finally succeeded in her third attempt with AIR 3 in CSE 2019.
